Getting started
What is STAKR?
STAKR is a peer-to-peer wagering platform for PS5 games. You set a stake, get matched with an opponent, play your game, and the winner is paid out — with STAKR holding both stakes in escrow the whole time so nobody has to trust a stranger.
Do I need a PSN ID to play?
Yes — both players need a PSN ID on file before a match can start, since that's how you'll actually connect and play against each other on PS5.
Who can use STAKR?
STAKR is for adults only (18+). By creating an account you're confirming you meet the minimum age requirement in your jurisdiction.
What games are supported?
EA FC 25, UFC 5, NBA 2K25, Mortal Kombat 1, Gran Turismo 7, Madden NFL 25, Tennis Clash, and Call of Duty. More may be added over time.
Stakes & escrow
How does escrow actually work?
The moment a challenger joins your match, both stakes move out of your wallets and into escrow instantly. Neither player can touch that money until the match is decided — STAKR only releases it once a winner is confirmed.
What's the minimum and maximum stake?
Stakes range from ₦5,000 to ₦500,000 per match.
What fee does STAKR take?
A platform fee (currently 5%) is taken from the total stake pool when a match pays out. It's shown upfront before you ever commit to a match — no surprises at payout time.
Nobody joined my match — what happens to my stake?
If no one joins within 12 hours, the match is automatically cancelled and your stake is refunded to your wallet — no action needed from you.
Playing & disputes
How is the winner decided?
After you play, both players independently report who won. If your reports match, the winner is paid out automatically. No admin needed when both sides agree.
What if we disagree on the result?
The match gets flagged for admin review, and stakes stay locked in escrow until it's resolved. If a dispute somehow goes unresolved for 72 hours, both players are automatically refunded their own stake as a safety net.
Can I rematch the same opponent?
Yes — after a match completes, there's a 30-minute window where either player can request a rematch. Chat with your opponent stays open during that window to lock in details.
Wallet & payments
How do I add money to my wallet?
Deposit by card or bank transfer through Korapay, our payment processor. Funds land in your wallet balance and are yours to withdraw anytime nothing's currently staked.
How do withdrawals work?
Withdraw your wallet balance to your bank account whenever you like — there's no lock-up period on funds that aren't actively staked in a match.
Does STAKR ever see my card details?
No. Card and bank details are handled directly by Korapay, our licensed payment processor — STAKR never stores your card number or banking credentials.
Friends, rank & streaks
What's the friend/challenge system?
Add other players as friends (by their PSN ID), then challenge them directly to a private match instead of waiting in the open lobby. Friends also get their own direct chat that carries on across matches.
How do rank tiers work?
Your rank (Bronze through Diamond) is based on your total lifetime winnings, not just your win count. It updates automatically as you win matches.
What's a win streak?
It's how many of your most recent completed matches you've won in a row. It resets the moment you lose one.
Account & support
Is my data sold or used for ads?
No. STAKR doesn't sell your data or use third-party ad trackers. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on what's collected and why.
