The short version
How escrow actually works on STAKR
No side deals, no "send first," no waiting on a stranger's word. Every naira staked on a match is held by STAKR the moment both players commit — nobody touches it until there's a confirmed winner.
Fund your wallet
Add money to your STAKR wallet via card or bank transfer (Korapay). It's yours — withdraw anytime nothing's staked.
Create or join a match
Pick a game and set a stake, or join someone else's open match — either from the lobby or a match code they share with you. Both players need a PSN ID on file first.
Stakes lock the moment you're matched
As soon as a challenger joins, both stakes move into escrow instantly. Neither player can touch that money until the match is decided — that's the whole point.
Play, then both players submit the result
Play your match on PS5. Afterwards, both players independently report who won. If your results match, the winner is paid out automatically — no admin needed.
Disagreements go to admin review
If both players report different outcomes, the match is flagged and an admin steps in to review and resolve it fairly — stakes stay locked until then.
Withdraw whenever
Winnings land straight in your wallet balance. Withdraw to your bank account whenever you want, no lock-up period.
STAKR takes a small platform fee (currently 5%) out of the total stake pool when a match pays out — it's shown upfront before you ever commit to a match.
