The questions we hear most before someone plays their first match.
What is STAKR?
STAKR is a peer-to-peer wagering platform for PS5 games. You set a stake, get matched with an opponent, play your game, and the winner is paid out — with STAKR holding both stakes in escrow the whole time so nobody has to trust a stranger.
How does escrow actually work?
The moment a challenger joins your match, both stakes move out of your wallets and into escrow instantly. Neither player can touch that money until the match is decided — STAKR only releases it once a winner is confirmed.
What if we disagree on the result?
The match gets flagged for admin review, and stakes stay locked in escrow until it's resolved. If a dispute somehow goes unresolved for 72 hours, both players are automatically refunded their own stake as a safety net.
What games are supported?
EA FC 25, UFC 5, NBA 2K25, Mortal Kombat 1, Gran Turismo 7, Madden NFL 25, Tennis Clash, and Call of Duty. More may be added over time.
What's the minimum and maximum stake?
Stakes range from ₦5,000 to ₦500,000 per match.
What fee does STAKR take?
A platform fee (currently 5%) is taken from the total stake pool when a match pays out. It's shown upfront before you ever commit to a match — no surprises at payout time.
How do withdrawals work?
Withdraw your wallet balance to your bank account whenever you like — there's no lock-up period on funds that aren't actively staked in a match.
Who can use STAKR?
STAKR is for adults only (18+). By creating an account you're confirming you meet the minimum age requirement in your jurisdiction.
